Mr. Lam, founder of the company, was working in a small traditional sugar factory in China as general labour. This young adult was fascinated by the process of traditional sugar making. He was amazed by how you can turn sugar cane into something extraordinary. He grew fondly with sugar day by day and getting more involved in providing this commodity to general public.

1987 - Yuen Tung Sugar Factory Established
With his passion in sugar, the founder established Yuen Tung Sugar Factory with very limited budget. He built the company with his bare hands and started this bittersweet journey. The company has a small factory in China and an office in Hong Kong.

1990's - Hong Kong's Market Transformation
There were many sugar companies in Hong Kong. As this industry is very capital intensive, and Hong Kong was leaving the industrialization phase, many other companies closed down or left the industry. Mr. Lam saw as a very good opportunity to grow as he still believes in this industry.

1995 - The Transformation Of The Company
China’s new trade law launched to protect the local Chinese sugar industry. Mr. Lam envisioned the future of Chinese economy and obtained special quota license. This solidified the company’s status in the industry.

The growing health trend changes the whole industry. As a responsible corporation, we want to bring healthy sugar products and educate consumers on the correct usage of sugar.
